I climbed Mt. Benson (1019 m) for the first time on June 26. Looking around the city, you’ll find that Mount Benson takes up about a third of the view. Sometimes it’s snowy, or wreathed in interesting clouds, or sometimes it burns in the sunset. The summit gives great views of the Straight of Georgia, the Coast Mountains and the surrounding mountains behind Mt. Benson. There are many routes up Mt. Benson and we took the Witchcraft Lake access, a shorter but steeper route.
